Natural Elegance. Exceptional Craftsmanship.
The Alchemy I – Oak by Pelham Custom Loudspeakers (PCL) combines the natural beauty of solid Oak with innovative acoustic engineering to create a distinctive pair of Australian-made stand-mount loudspeakers.
Expertly handcrafted and finished in satin Danish oil, the pale Oak cabinets feature contrasting dark timber inlays, stone-coloured leather front panels and rose gold-coloured aluminium F-hole sound plates.
Each pair represents more than 110 hours of skilled workmanship, bringing together fine timber craftsmanship, acoustic design and an unmistakable visual character.
Crafted with Purpose
Alchemy I – Oak celebrates the natural grain and warmth of solid hardwood.
The satin Danish oil finish enhances the timber’s character, while carefully incorporated dark timber inlays create a refined contrast against the lighter Oak.
Stone-coloured leather panels soften the overall appearance, complemented by distinctive rose gold-coloured aluminium detailing.
Beyond its appearance, the cabinet construction incorporates carefully engineered internal structures and acoustic materials designed to support the loudspeakers’ performance.
Innovative Acoustic Engineering
Alchemy I features a folded-horn/tapered transmission-line design, developed to provide detailed, engaging sound reproduction.
One of its most distinctive features is the F-shaped sound vent, inspired by the traditional sound holes found in stringed instruments.
PCL explored this unusual geometry as part of its research into airflow and acoustic cabinet design. The resulting F-hole forms an integral part of the transmission-line arrangement while creating an unmistakable design feature.
Combining carefully selected Markaudio drivers with thoughtfully designed cabinetry, Alchemy I brings together engineering and craftsmanship in a loudspeaker designed for serious listening.
Sound Worth Listening To
Alchemy I – Oak is designed to deliver clarity, detail and an immersive listening experience across a wide range of musical styles.
With a rated power handling of 50 watts continuous and 100 watts maximum, these passive loudspeakers are suited to compatible external amplifiers within the recommended 30–100 watt range.
To help ensure your loudspeakers are ready to enjoy, PCL completes a 100-hour driver break-in process before delivery.
